Board Member Responsibilities

Lead Strategically

Define the mission and participate in strategic planning, providing insights to develop a long-range plan. Ensure services deliver on the mission and evaluate impact.

Financial Stability

Ensure DARTS is a good steward of financial resources by approving the annual budget. Oversee capital and reserve funds’ usage.

Be an Ambassador

Advocate for DARTS mission and vision. Share DARTS impact stories. Be a resource in building potential strategic alliances and collaboratives.

Provide Resources

Contribute personally to DARTS’ annual giving campaigns. Strengthen our development opportunities and events by sharing with your network.

Supervise & Support the President

Select and regularly evaluate the President. Support their work by providing expertise and being a collective leadership voice for the organization.

A board term is for three years. Board members can serve two consecutive terms.
