DARTS Ground Breaking 2019

DARTS is Expanding!

In partnership with Real Estate Equities, DARTS is working to redevelop the land on the corner of Wentworth and Marthaler Lane into affordable Senior Housing in West St. Paul.

As the demand for senior housing rises, this is the opportune time to develop underutilized land for the creation of affordable housing for older adults in Dakota County. The Dakota County Community Development Agency (CDA) Senior Housing had to close its waiting lists June 1, 2017 due to demand. The population 65+ in Dakota County is nearing 20% and projected to be 25% by 2035.

Apartment units are planned to include:

Washer/dryer per unit

Underground parking

Storage units on each floor

Activity areas (exercise room, screened porch, walking path)

On June 25, 2018, the West St. Paul City Council unanimously voted in favor of the proposed rezoning and site plan! A final hearing occurs July 9.
